Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about living in Old Georgetown Village

TRIPLE-R does not collect on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. In the event that the collection day falls on one of these holidays, collection will occur on the following day.

Trash must be placed in heavy duty durable plastic bags or rigid containers with tight-fitting lids. Trash collection does not follow Montgomery County holiday schedule.

Recycling must be set out in accordance with the County’s regulations

Trash and recycling containers must be out and ready at the curbside before 7:00 am on pick-up days. However, they may not be placed at curbside prior to 9:00 pm the night before pick-up day and must be removed by 9:00 pm the day of pick-up.

TRIPLE-R will provide bulk collection of large items. These collections must be scheduled in advance by the resident, by either calling the office at 301-990-3533 or emailing a request for a pickup to TRIPLERTRASH@gmail.com. Once coordinated, Bulk items such as furniture, mattresses, large televisions, must be placed curbside for collection and will be collected when scheduled. Bulk items DO NOT include construction and/or renovation debris. The pickup fee will be paid by the resident requesting the service.

Domesticated pets (dogs, cats) are permitted provided they are not kept, bred or maintained for any commercial purpose or in unreasonable numbers.

No animals may be kept on the Property which result in an annoyance or are obnoxious to residents in the vicinity.

Dog and cat owners must obey the ordinances of Montgomery County.

Townhouses with garages will not be assigned a reserved parking space. The owner and/or tenant will park one car in the garage and one on the parking apron in front of the garage.

Townhouses without garages will be assigned one (1) reserved parking space in the parking lot adjacent to the property. Unassigned spaces in the parking lot will be on a first-come, first service basis, for resident’s second vehicle or for guest parking on a temporary basis.

No provision is made for parking more than two vehicles per household. Any additional vehicle(s) must be parked off-site, for example, on Edson Lane.

Prior approval of the Old Georgetown Village Board is required for any exterior addition, change or alteration occurring on a lot. Such requests are considered “Architectural Change Requests” and are processed in the manner set forth in the governing documents.

Residents and Owners in OGV can attend and participate in the monthly Board meetings. Meetings are currently being held virtually.
